At the age of 48, I decided to pursue a second master’s degree (I have a Master in Business from Georgia State University.) It wasn’t easy—it was a lot of lost sleep, sacrifices of time with family and friends and added stress. However, I wanted to challenge myself and I believed in this program. This new degree, a master’s in Emerging Media, has enhanced my daily work skills , kept me relevant in an ever-changing digital landscape and kept me disciplined in my ongoing thirst to learn.
I expect to graduate in spring 2021.
Here are a few projects and skills I have learned while pursuing my degree:
- Digital and Social Communication Strategies
- Emerging Media Interaction Design
- Research Methods
- Data Gathering and Visualization
